Today's Harvest

Today's harvest, plus a cucumber from the other day.

These are the first white bush scallop squash that I've ever harvested for eating in 2 years of growing them.  I'm so excited!  The clothespin is to show size.  I didn't harvest a clothespin from the garden.

Aren't they beautiful?

I went out to the garden thinking I wouldn't have anything to gather today.

I came back in with my arms full o' veggies!

:)

Happy Saturday!

  1. OH, that is exciting! I just checked out our garden. Sean harvested 4 small eggplants but that's it. It's over run with weeds. I did see a flower on the zuke plant and lots of dill and parsley coming up through the weeds. Our container garden is doing very well. LOTS of beautiful herbs. We'll do a raised garden next year, in a field of red and yellow clovers for the bees.

I might try growing a clothespin plant though.

  2. You know, clothespin plants might do really well where you are. They like heat and sun and shade. ;)
