Leif wears his new hat in the garden.
I've been looking all over (mainly online) for a good sunhat for Leify.
I finally found one at a local gardening center that is just his size!
It has a nice broad brim and an adjustable chin strap to keep it on his head (important for any gardener, but especially kids!)
The hat should fit him until he's 8, so if he takes good care of it, we should get some good wear out of it! :)
I had to tilt it up some so that you could see his eyes - otherwise they were lost in shadow. :)
It's packable, too, so I don't have to worry about him destroying a straw hat in a matter of seconds.
Here, he's playing with his matchbox cars on a stack of patched clam bags while I garden.
You can see more of his hat in that pic.
I patch the clam bags in the garage in the afternoons while Leif swims right outside the garage in his little wading pool.
I'm out of the sun, he's having a blast, and I'm getting work done.
It's a win-win situation all the way round!
I'm off to the Dr. today to get my stitches removed.
I also went this past Tuesday for a wound check, and they said it was healing splendidly.
It is a purple color, which is indicative of hundreds of little blood vessels there and they connect the graft to the ear.
The body is amazing.
Have a good day!
That looks like a great hat, and that fact that it's packable is orsome! What is the brand? I need to buy one of those for Sean and one for me.)
ReplyDeleteGlad the vessels are a growing. Have a great purple day!
San Diego Hat Company is the brand. It's $30 online at their site, but I didn't pay that much for it. If you want, the next time I go to the garden store, I could get you one and send it...or you could just get yo bootay down heah and get it direct yourself. Yeah, I like that Ideer better.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get down there! I can't find enough Saturdays available (so Adam can accompany us on the space-a hop) between now and our July vacation to Michigan. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
